We had a wonderful day in school today. This morning we had a visit from two members of Óglaigh na hÉireann. It was a very special occasion for everyone. It was especially significant for Mr. Ronan Curtis who is now a member of Óglaigh na hÉireann and a past pupil of our school. We were privileged to welcome him and his family to the school, including his mother Mrs. June Curtis who taught in the school for years. Our oldest pupil and youngest pupil received the flag and proclamation. We heard all about our National Flag and Proclamation and we also had an opportunity to ask them questions. Thank you to the Parents Association who provided yummy treats, cakes, buns, tea and coffee afterwards. are going to start drafting our own proclamation to be read out before raising the flag on the 15th March 2016.
